Chef Zu of Kings Apron is launching his “Mtume’ Green” 5 course dinner series in celebration of his recent certification in holistic nutrition. The word Mtume’ comes from the Swahili language and translates as the “bringer or messenger.” As a sustainable plant based artist, Chef Zu will prepare all 5 courses based around local produce and sustainable food service techniques. This event will serve as a platform to infuse sustainability and nutrition as highlights in our local and social dialogue.
Kings Apron has facilitated healthy food programming for Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta Fulton County Library Systems, City of Atlanta Department of Sustainability, Georgia Food Oasis, Georgia House of Covenant, Fulton County Commissioner District 5 and many more local Atlanta non-profits and community initiatives.
